Canon RF-S 18-45mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM Lens

The Canon RF-S 18-45mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM Lens has been designed as a lightweight match for the new APS-C EOS R models – providing a pocket-sized “standard zoom” for those entering the EOS R APS-C mirrorless system for the first time. It is a great general-purpose lens with a useful 18-45mm (29-72mm 35mm equiv.) focal length that’s ideally suited to a wide variety of lifestyle situations including family portraits, food, everyday scenes, and vlogging. Takes 49 mm filters.

As well as covering the equivalent 29-72mm the retractable design makes it small and compact when not in use and keeps a small profile in the camera bag. The combined weight of the RF-S 18-45MM F4.5-6.3 IS STM and an EOS R APS-C mirrorless camera offers significant weight savings compared to a DSLR equivalent. The STM motor allows smooth, silent, and accurate focusing while a seven blade, circular f/4.5-6.3 helps to create smooth out of focus highlights. Close focus to 15cm with a 0.25x magnification.

The Canon RF-S 18-45mm Lens features an optical image stabilizer to help capture sharp imagery, providing up to 4 stops of shake correction or up to 6 stops of Dual IS with a compatible mirrorless camera body.
